Joanne, this is gorgeous. Beautifully soft and perfect to express the love for Nanna.

Beautiful portrait, Joanne.

This, Joanne is wonderful and just the title makes me get a lump in my throat. I had a very close relationship with my Nanna and even though she passed away in l987, there is not a day that I don't miss her. Now I have become a Nanna and I hope that my relationship with my two little granddaughters will be just as special.

A portrait full of character. You've captured what I'm guessing was a warm personality and sense of fun too. What a great gift for your dad.

Glorious

Thankyou all for your kind comments. Adele, i remember my dad had a lump in his throat when I gave it to him so i hope it does do justice to my nan. I'm sure your granddaughters think the world of you.

A lovely portrait Joanne

Really lovely, Joanne. Your dad must treasure it. I love her hair - and the Bifocals !

Thankyou Russell. Jennifer thankyou, and i had been worried the hair was a bit simple, but at the same time i didn't want it to become too tight and overworked, and quite liked it as it is, so i left it alone.

Lovely warmth. What a lovely memory you have created.

This is a portrait i drew back in 1997 of my Nan. Sadly, she had just passed away, so i did this to give to my dad. It still hangs on his wall. (the photo was taken at the time which is why it is not all that clear).
