Thankyou Derek and John for your comments, and the advice! The colours in the original are a bit stronger, but also this was probably the first still life I'd drawn since college, ( except maybe a few pencil sketches here and there!), and i found it quite a challenge! I'm used to trying to capture the emotion and expressions of what i draw, which of course i couldn't here, and maybe that reflects in the result?
