This is a lovely quartet, what great characters as can be told from their eyes. And well done you for all rescues (rescue is the best breed!). All our dogs and some of our horses are rescues - including 1 dog and 1 horse from Spain.

I appreciate your comments, Carole and Anne. This is one painting that I really enjoyed doing, because I know the dogs and their personalities, which made it a lot easier.

Hang on Studio Wall

Acrylics on canvas. 55 x 45 I first started this painting in 2009 with two dogs - Bobo, cross-dalmation (rescued at 1 day old from a sack with 6 other puppies by the side of a bin), and Susy, a springer spaniel (rescued from a cardboard box at 3 weeks old outside Lidl). Hoopy, an Italian Segugio hunting dog, also a rescue dog, was added about 4 years later. Our latest addition, Mikroulis (Greek for 'little one') - our new puppy, acquired from one of our neighbours, was added yesterday to the painting.
