This is finished off beautifully Jim. The extended trunk is perfect and as Val says your background is very complimentary to your bird.

Extending the tree has definitely finished it off........great work.

Last time I saw this I was going to comment that you should leave the tree trunk as it was. I decided against saying anything as it was your decision. How wrong I was! This is perfect and the extended tree trunk pulls it all together. It's a very beautiful image. Well done!

A lovely piece with amazing attention to detail. The lichen on the log works well with the colour and helps to give a different viewpoint and point of interest as well as the bird.
