This is very good, James. I know how difficult it is to draw in ink without pencil first! Well done.

I like this James. A famous local theatre and you've captured it well - but lots of windows to sketch! I've just been looking through your portfolio, a lot of landmarks I recognise in East/North Yorkshire. Plenty of variety, I especially like your pen & wash of York Minster.

Thanks, Mia and Pat, for your kind comments.

A very well drawn piece, with lovely tints. It's super!

Thank you Seok , for the kind comment.

A lovely pen& wash, I find these so attractive James and your colours are so reminiscent of seaside.

Thanks, Carole. I do like bright colours, although have to use sparingly on this 150gsm pad.

Pen and watercolour wash, 7" x 11", on 150gsm cartridge pad. Based on two photos I took at this Scarborough town crossroads. This was an attempt to do the pen work without any pencil drawing first. Decided to omit the traffic lights, etc, in front and as there was a lot of white paper, it was cropped to suit.
