Hanwell Locks

Hanwell Locks

Oh this is nostalgia personified! I lived in Hanwell as a child and used to watch horses, a grey and a chestnut, pull barges along here every day whilst we were walking our dogs. Super etching, total love at first sight!

This etching of Hanwell Locks, a beautiful flight of gates on the Grand Union Canal in west London, is a hand-pulled print from a limited edition of 20. It measures 41cm x 53cm unframed and is printed on lovely thick Somerset satin paper.
