Jenny this absolutely STUNNING. you have made the humble snail into a super model!! Shoul you require any more snails for future projects i can supply them !! Very skilfull painting.

Fantastic painting. I just love that blue you have on the shells. I personally don't care if the snails were harmed or not - too many of the little blighters eat my hostas!!

What a fabulous painting ,like Thea, I love the blue on the shells did you paint them by placing them on a mirror? Wonderful composition.

thank you Helen, Thea & Brenda. We have recently treated ourselves to new garden furniture including table with a black glass top... not very practical for people who hate housework ( like me ) but it is amazing when freshly washed and polished. Yes I too have spent years losing the battle to protect my hostas but have learned a lot about these interesting little beasts. I hate killing anything so was gathering them up by torchlight & re-locating them in nearby open parkland but started to recognise the same individuals, my husband said that was my imagination so I marked them with felt-tip pen. Sure enough, couple of evenings later my marked snails were back home! Their courtship rituals are fascinating too.

This is a wonderful painting,I love thewarmth and glow that you have achieved against the cool blue.Great gallery of work too!

I won't ramble on about this because there's only one word for it. Superb.

I'm so sorry I missed this when it was posted! I can only echo what has been said before. Stunning. The lighting is superb. I could go on, but you get the idea! truely exeptional. and just for your husbands information, snails do have a homing instinct. So, as Alan Tichmarsh recently said, it's no good chucking onto next doors garden. (who me?)

Fantastic painting, cleverly executed.
