You did it again! I love those faces with lots of character in it. The lightfall on the coat is perfect.

thank you Mia, the charcoal does seem suited to the weather-beaten older face & they are such fun to do, have failed miserably with all my attempts at young & pretty, mind you I always fail at those in any medium so it must be my fault & not the charcoal.

While there's no real substitute for charcoal, Diana, I wonder if you could manage carbon pencil or conté crayon? Wonderful drawing, very expertly done.
