Once again Jenny, I love this. In fact, I was talking about your Quink and Milton technique this morning at my art class. Everyone was fascinated and they'll probably all join Painters Online so that they can have a peek at your work.

The gaudy foreground is lovely. Fantastic unique work Jenny! Also I like your format.

That sky and the light on the sea is fantastic and I like the touch of the oil pastel in the foreground. Nothing wrong with this at all.

This is the iconic view from our part of the country and the interpretation is superb. I agree with Carole, the brilliant foreground is great and gives a real emphasise to the picture.

I agree with everyone a fantastic painting, love the foreground. In fact I think it's one of your best. Never heard of using ink and bleach!

Thank you Val, Carole, Val, Roger and Kevin

Your New Year's resolution should be "do not denigrate my work"! I've run out of superlatives for your Quinks

Thank you Gudrun. I am not always disgusted with it. Sometimes I surprise myself

I think this is a superlative piece, Jenny! You're definitely too hard on yourself. The dramatic light and atmosphere are top notch!

I don't normally feel qualified to give advice so please pay attention. If you feel an urge to paint "Sun going down at Beachy Head" - use w/colour, oils, acrylics, pastels, kid's crayons, ANYTHING except ink & bleach. And if you are daft enough to use ink & bleach DO NOT feel tempted to liven it up a bit with gaudy oil pastel in the foreground !
