Your experiment worked really well Jen. Love the pink bits showing through, which give your painting an extra glow.

Dovestones reservoir from a photo I took in summer a couple of years ago. Soft pastel on A5 mixed media paper. Again I underpainted in 4 tones of pink pastel, then went over with isopropyl alcohol, once it dried I then worked over with the colours allowing some of the pink to still peek through slightly.
