Dear all, Thank you very much for your comments. I was frankly quite lucky that the subject was not lost in mist/cloud, as it often is, and was when I previously attempted to visit and paint it about a decade earlier. Very steep sloping ground here, literally everywhere if you leave the actual path, so I had no option but to sit down with the easel (back leg fully extended, front two as short as they go!), rather than my usual standing - for the first time actually in many years.

A very well painted watercolour Jem, those strongly painted trees really stand out against the pale sky.
