Excellent paintings Jem.Both of them.

I'm the first to click "like" this is superb, Jem. It's difficult to find the words to comment, in case anything sounds negative. It's all praise. The sky is magnificent and looks effortless. The slight bleeding of the distant trees into the sky is exquisite. The definition of the islands or mud-flats and boats is minimal. The water uses the paper brilliantly and the foreground looks as if you used about two or three strokes. Marvellous use of watercolour; a masterclass in "less is more."

Beautiful. Seems so simple (in a great way) but says so much and has great energy. Love it💚

I am such a big fan of your work. This one is an example of light and movement in a bold, fresh watercolour

Two terrific paintings, Gem, wonderful palette and brushwork.

A true fresh watercolour, Jem.

love the washes in this Jem.

Wow....stunning Jem!

Thank you all very much for your really kind comments. I do appreciate it. Jem

I have looked at this very scene countless times and never thought of such a simple interpretation, it's a quality piece Jem. Hope you enjoyed Dedham.

Love the movement in the sky, has a Seago feel to it.

Love this Jem. Very dramatic but at the same time very simple.

Wow! Love that - fresh and free and minimum colour
