Element - Air

I'm sorry Jeff, But as I have been told myself concerning Two of my paintings of beautiful, sexy women, even though they were fully clothed, I don't think these paintings which are more explicit concerning male nudity, are really appropriate on a site that is visited and viewed by small children... I don't like censorship of any artwork, but the message of the site population and admin staff should be consistent... I would say in the future, use your best judgement.. You can still post these images but maybe censor them a little...

Thank you Eric for your thoughts on the nature of my paintings and whether I should censor them before posting them on this site. I disagree with you for a number of reasons, firstly the male figure is not being portrayed in an erotic manner but is simply part of the story being told, secondly there is nothing shameful about a naked body and in itself poses no risk to adult or child, alike (only when the scenario is sexualised is there a potential for it being inappropriate for the viewer depending on their age or personal views). If I were to be asked to censure my artwork I would prefer to display it on a more accepting site.

Unframed acrylic painting - 11" x 14" (28 cm x 35.5 cm) This is the third of a quartet of paintings I'm creating based on the four elements of fire, water, air & earth. Once I have finished all four and the set is complete I will be looking to sell them together rather than individually. Expressions of interest will be gratefully received in the meantime, as a guide I'll be asking £160 for the set.
