I love that look and what you achieving in all your paintings. I too am trying to get a more abstract come loose look but I am (in contrast to you) failing miserably. Now seeing your gallery has given me ideas. Keep doing what you're doing it's very original and great.

Like your interesting gallery and it's leaning towards a loose look. This one (Arundel) looks eerily damp and wintry to me ! Well done.

This is stunning. I know exactly what you mean about moving away from the true colours as it is what I try to do all the time when doing landscapes in particular, but it is tricky as you are always fighting what your eyes see. I think you have done a brilliant job in choosing the right colours for this painting - the penwork in so good as well. I am a fan of white paper and try to leave a lot to give the painting a chance to breath.

I am so glad to have discovered your gallery. It is just stunning. I love all your works, and this one is wonderful in the contrasts you've achieved with minimal colors and lines. I will be looking out for more!

Superb! And you're cerainly going in the right direction. I love it.

Your gallery is beautiful and this painting is again wonderful. I like your style with pen and wash, also like the large white spaces you left and the change of colours. Pen and wash is my favourite technique and I know how difficult it is to leave things out!

I find this beautifully fresh and clean, but still characterful. The warm articulated shadows in your gallery are marvellous. Super.

You seem to have achieved a satisfying abstract balance, which is what I think the most important thing.

O my ! This is fantastic Jeanette ! I know exactly what you mean about loosening your style. I would love to loosen my style and make my work more abstract but so far I'm unsuccessful. You've achieved it with this , it's superb ! Love the rest of your album too.

Brilliant experiment! I love this design with vibrant colours!

Super image/treatment and part of a wonderful gallery

Another experimental line and wash painting, trying to leave lots of white paper and to combine the line work with the washes. I've tried to move away from the true colours of the buildings and to flatten the picture plane, but, as hard as I try, I find it very difficult to get away from painting what I see.
