My attempt at a demo by John Barber from his book, The Pastel Colour Wheel Book. The painting is called Thames Barge Race. I used Rembrandt's artist pastels and Mount Vision and vine charcoal for the sketch and the mast's on the barges. The paper is ArtSpectrum Colorfix sanded and baby blue in color.
