Thank you Derek.<br />Well he doesn&#39;t dislike it and everybody recognises that it&#39;s him, so that&#39;s a start! I was attempting something similar to the Northern Ireland artist Colin Davidson who does great big portraits which sort of merge a little bit in with the background. However, Alan definitely didn&#39;t want his face on an enormous canvas, so there were compromises :). This is a mere 70cms square!
