I've never seen it this rough either Janet, and I've walked along by the castle in mid-winter. Lovely composition and bold use of colour.

Alan thank you. Yes blue skies and calm seas tend to lack atmosphere in a painting (not in real life though!)! I have seen it this rough, but only once or twice in nearly 30 years coming here and I certainly wouldn&#39;t have sat painting on those odd occasions- hence the photo!<br />.
