Pink Poppies

This is great, something I am aiming to achieve myself. A real use of strong colours in the background set this off. Well done.

Thanks Andre. For the background I mixed the colours on the canvas putting one colour on top of another and then dragging them down so that the underneath colours showed through haphazardly. Some of these backgrounds done like this work and some fail miserably! When that was completely dry I then painted the poppies quickly and loosely. Everything was done with a palette knife. I have no hang ups about copyright, so have a go at it yourself and do it better!

I agree with Andre, great effective background and colours, and the flowers are fantastic.
