Wow this is beautiful - looks 3d!

Thank you for your comments Carole, i must admit i was very pleased with this one, and it looks even better framed.

Beautiful Anemones. Wonderful Negative background like Carole says looks 3D.

Beautifully painted with lovely shadows on petals.

A lovely painting, with beautiful soft colours.

A beautiful picture, so well done; reminds me a lot of Malcolm Coils work with the negative background.

Thanks for all your positive comments, especially Diana's comments, i have just looked at Malcolm Coil's work and it's fantastic. I have worked with cling film and bubble wrap in the past so will get some more done, Malcolm has inspired me! so once again thank you.

What a wonderful painting. I sat and gazed at it for ages. It is so very well done.

Fantastic painting and very interesting technique as well. Do you use masking fluid at all or do you rely on a steady hand! I am very interesting in your painting style, so hope you don't mind so many questions.

Hi Thea, Thanks for comments. I mask out the edge of the flowers only. Then once i have mixed up my colours for the background, i wet the paper. Drop in the paint, making sure that each colour does not touch another, then i turn the board every way until mixed to my satisfaction. If you touch the colours into each other, you may end up muddy.
