I think you have achieved your objective really well Jane - I do feel there is a sense of expectation here and the cat is going to take advantage of the empty room. Great colour combinations,

this acrylic painting (50 x60 cms) is the view from our balcony at Petit Piquey, but I used a prettier balcony and changed the ironwork to spell cat ( i got the idea from the Matisse Painting Conversation, where the balcony spells Non. It is our ginger cat eyeing up the strawberry cream cake, which we had shared with friends on another occasion. I wanted to create a feeling of expectation, someone has just left the room, and what will the cat do?
