Just notticed signature bottom RHS

Ah. Oh dear. That would explain the rather startling development in your work.... Well, in mitigation your Honour, I think you've done a very good job in copying it; I would have known if I'd seen the LP article, but hadn't. I think the forehead could be a little paler against the stronger skin tones, but you've done a good job; just observe the finer strokes of the brush in the original as something to aspire to. Rather amusing in view of your question about copyright in your blog ...seriously though, you have done a good job here, have captured the expression, and if anything, yours is a somewhat stronger painting.

Lovely portrait and a good job of the exercise...arn't these exercises in Leisure Painter great...I'm going through all my older ones to find exercises which I never thought off before

Patsy & Robert: Thanks again for your comments.Yes they are useful exercises as they give us an indication of our progress.Going now to brouse your Gallerys. Then post my version of TH Summer River
