Unfinished but not, I hope, abandoned? There's a lot of character in the face; I'd be inclined to finish it in thin paint, adding crisper touches in shirt and tie, but doing little or nothing more to the head, which is brought to life by the sparkling eyes. I think you've caught something here.

Have only ever done a couple of portraits so really can not give much advice, but do agree with Robert, I think the face (head) looks great, the shirt and tie could do with a touch more paint to bring them to life like the face, its a great portrait.
