Have lengthened her hair. This is an Acrylic on Cardboard

I saw the previous comment about the hair, and agreed with it... the trouble is, I am now conditioned to looking at it too closely! The modelling of the features is excellent in this painting; they say acrylic is a forgiving medium, but it isn't, really - transparent touches can look very streaky, so I'd also suggest you model the background, using a little white, as well as the subject of your composition. Take a look at my favourite painting, The Doge Leonardo Loredano, and see how Giovanni Bellini painted a very simple yet effective backdrop. I should make it clear that I don't think you should try altering this painting! That way madness lies .... and anyway you don't need to.
