Lovely work James. I thought it was in oils.

Thank you Heather, Paul and Carole. I tried to do this in a more painterly style, slowly moving towards being more expressive and less meticulous about detail. So, Carole, your initial thought that it was in oils (a medium I don’t think I will ever use) is encouraging.

I like the sharpness of this image: not everyone would, but I do. It's quite untypical of pastel work - and I like that about it, too.
