Nope - sorry, I don't think of these as abstract. The colours are a perfect choice. that lovely golden colour on the left really brings to mind the early rising sunshine of an autum day. Lovely.

Very pleasing painting, Ian, as Tony says the golden touches in the trees has a good effect, also like panorama format, must try that!

Many thanks for your comments. The paintings are all around 20" long and vary between 4.5" and 8" long. I usually mount with a 3" border which I feel works well with this type of view.

The last in this gallery for the moment. Whilst the others were painted freely from the imagination, this was based on a view of lake Coniston. Again semi-abstract in the use of colour and in the foreground.
