Thanks. I really tried to capture the colour of the water and it was murky like that. I toyed with the strong shadow in the foreground but decided to use it to frame the boy and the river more. I added the diffused light through the leaves later as the painting needed to show where some of the light was coming from and it felt too top heavy without it.
