Summer in Crooks
8"x6" Oil on Board. Pochade from yesterday morning logging the excellent conditions of the day. Once the kids were packed off to school I managed to get out and get this picture painted in about 2 hours, so not a 'true' pochade, but hey... The scene is a sycamore in Crooks field, Horton-in-Ribblesdale from the other side of Horton beck, I don't go out of my way to hide myself from passers-by but the composition required me to cross the beck to a secluded corner away from passing eyes, however I needn't have worried as what is normally a busy footpath was completely devoid of traffic yesterday morning.
