8"x6" Oil on Board. Painted plein-air yesterday afternoon, thankfully after some weeks of showers we have had some good weather to get out in. This is a pochade of the river meandering at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, it was painted in about 1 1/2 hours, so purists may argue its not a true pochade, however I don't care about purists. I have to say I may have taken too much on, and found myself rushing the painting towards the end, although it does give an impression of how the day was and could be used as a backdrop to another birdie picture later on.
