On our visit to Scotland we found out that Highland Cattle are an endangered breed in Scotland. Queen Victoria preferred brown Highland cattle but as they were originally black or grey interbreeding developed their predominantly brown colour. Over time this affected their DNA so has decreased their life expectancy. Painted in watercolour.
