Charming Helen. I too love this scene at Staithes and have attempted to paint it several times. Yours is very successful.

I love this iconic view of Staithes and was thrilled to have the chance to paint it this summer. I had very limited time, and for a while afterwards I thought I might develop it a bit more, but now I think it captures everything that it needs to, including my happiness that afternoon painting in the sunshine and meeting lots of friendly passers by.
