This is really excellent Helen, a great subject matter and an exciting piece.

Very modern, spacial with good forms and shapes extenuated by smashing light. Not the usual scene of gardens, there would have been more sky less foreground.

Thanks for the great comments! I was in two minds as to whether to put this one up as it's a bit wacky and influenced by my current obsession with the post-Impressionists. I'll paint it again in summer by which time I'll have moved on to the Cubists and you can play spot-the-tree!! :)
