Excellent pastel full of Summer light, really well done.

Wonderful. It seams to have multiple layers. 👌

Really beautiful Summer scene.

Your vertical composition is very striking Alan. A painting full of harmony, colour and energy.

Thank you Heather, Martin, Russell, John, Carole Swingler, Federico, Carole Kelly and Romila for all your kind comments. This was a difficult one for me as I haven’t been able to concentrate on any art for most of this year due to health problems. Thank you!

Well, you did awesome. Glad you can paint again. This really makes me feel being there

Thank you so much Federico. Very much appreciated.

Lovely use of pastels Alan.

Thank you Shuan

Beautifully done. The deep blue reflections of the sky really makes it.

Many thanks Christine.

Very superb pastel, Alan!

Thank you Maureen and Cesare.

Well done Alan, love the reflections.

Thank you Bob.

Beautiful Alan. It feels very restful

The way you aligned the tree reflections with the shoreline is masterfully done. They have that perfect 'watery' quality without losing the structure of the forest.

Thank you Charlie and Lea for your kind comments.

I like the colours and their balance and freshness, but find some ambiguity about the location of the water's edge and the reflections of the bank in the water.

Thank you Barrie for your comments. In respect of the ambiguity of the pond edge, it was. Deciding where the land ended and the water began was virtually impossible lots of boggy bits and water plants.
