Biography

Updated: Now 3 years into rediscovering art, using mainly soft pastel plus now charcoal. I love the immediacy that pastel gives and the creation of art, however it turns out, switches off from the day-to-day stuff. I just do this for my own amusement and well being. Charcoal reminds of the B&W film photography I used to years ago, trying to create a good tonal range. I also do a small amount of pen and wash but still dont have the same control of brushes as I do pastel and charcoal sticks! Materials used are a combination of Rembrandt and Unison soft pastels, along with pencils from Faber-Castell and Carbothello. Paper is usually Canson-Mi Teintes touch although I have recently been trying out the Stifflex brand of papers.
