HI HEATHER, After reading your recent comment on my latest Watercolor posting, thank you , just had to have a viewing of your Gallery, which I must say, is rather impressive!!. if you only started painting 2 years ago, WOW!!, You obviously have a natural flair for it, Loving this one,the boy,s expression, and the dog,s eyes,tell the story,lovely!!!. My own Failings are animals and Portraits,how I envy your abilities,to capture both so well.Cheers,John J Hunter. P s, yes the Camera does sometimes miss-represent a finished painting/ canvas, but natural Talent stands out,regardless.

Thanks John, really appreciate your comments about my gallery. I love painting portraits but really struggle although the 'journey' is worth it when I get there in the end! I would love to be looser and more painterly in my style but detail pulls me in every time! I tussle with landscapes and plein air and the spontaneity needed plus I can't get motivated enough to paint trees and sky! I guess we're all different.
