I love this Hazel, who knew so much character in a cow! It's brilliant of course, and no surprise it took you 21 hours to complete, I think that's probably the thing with cp's they allow us to render so much of the tiny details that it could well take that long, looks like you used stippling technique for the end of the nose and that works well, and such gorgeous eyes in a cow, real mischevious glint in them as well, love how you rendered the fence post as well

Simplistic, minimalistic...so very effective.

Coloured pencil work is really taking off on this site with more and more examples being posted every day. It is obviously a very satisfying medium. Love your cow, Hazel, as it really shows the cow's naturally inquisitive nature. Love soft colours and velvety textures. Super work.

Interesting composition, good colours. Very effective!

Thanks all! I am glad you like it. I am really enjoying coloured pencil. It is very relaxing working with them, and I don't have much to put away when the kids come in from school!

This is great! Such a soft look in her eyes, the pencil work and colour is superb.

Good, another fan of CP's LOL. I love the perspective on this, she really looks as though she is coming out of the screen at me and what lovely eyes.

Coloured pencil drawing. Faber Castell Polychromos on Daler Rowney Bristol Board. A3 size. My second Cp picture. Well I loved doing this one! From my own photo taken on holiday outside our cottage. I think the name on her tag is reference to her sire as a few of them had the same name. This took roughly 21 hours, done in one or two hour sittings over the last few weeks. Why does Cp have to take so long to do! Mind you it is very satisfying when you're done. Hope you like it!
