I'm not at all surprised you have sold it. Well done, he's gorgeous, typically Basset. Clever use of colour here too.

Bassets are cursed with looking miserable even when they're ecstatic. Hard to believe it's the first painting you've sold, considering the charm of your work.

Thank you Ruth and Robert! I only started painting last year and pastels this summer, this dog is only the fifth pastel pic I have done and only the second one I have put up for sale.
