Could have fooled me Hazel! I think they are all very good, each in its special way - e.g. Wrinkles and the Volkswagen. Hope you are not still snowed in. I was for a week or more and I live in Surrey!

I think you have a lovely well done painting here Hazel.

This is a great painting and there is nothing wrong with your watercolour skills. I'd be proud if it was one of mine.

You've caught the sense of size, and also the gentler side, of this massive animal, and that's an achievement in anyone's book. Do more like this - keep pushing onwards, just like the elephant!

Wow thank you all for your positive comments! Its because of you that I will keep persevering with watercolour. You give me the confidence to keep trying. I think part of my problem is that I can't control w/c as I can pastel, but I am learning that it can be controlled but in different ways.

Really charming elephant. Looks like a youngster? If you think that you aren't so good with watercolour, then think again - I would say that you definitely have the knack.

Thea, thank you so much! I think your watercolours are fantastic, so full of colour and life, I would love to paint like you! The elephant is one of 3 from Blair Drummond Safari Park in Stirling, not sure how old she is, I seem to have made her look younger than she is though.

I see now you don't post work that often Hazel and that's maybe why I haven't got round to commenting on your gallery before now, love this elephant walking right towards us, it works beautifully!

I have attempted another watercolour over Christmas. I have already done Wrinkles in pastel and thought I would attempt it in watercolour, I used a little watercolour pencil also. I look forward to comments as I am not very good with watercolour, thank you.
