Wow. You are brave. This is a massive subject. Painting and drawing skills are very evident. I love it.

Agreed, wonder how long this took you Rupert, amazing amount of detail in it, super work, great colours, everything in it is really really good

It was going fine till I broke a bone in my foot, now I have to keep it raised, which makes it a bit tricky holding a 30x20 canvas haha. Been doing it about a week, but you can add things forever on a painting like this lol. PS...Who,s Rupert, haha

Cricket so sorry Harold! Didn't realise I had called you Rupert till just read your comment! You have been in the wars by the sound of it, how on earth did u manage to break a bone in your foot? Must be incredibly difficult it have painted this large scene with all that detail in it when you have the foot raised!

Great painting - this one is right up my street Harold! Lots of interest to hold the attention. I bet you had great fun doing this despite your foot.

Lovely depiction of this London scene.

I went over on my foot carrying a setee, broke a bone and tore two ligaments. It only hurts when I laugh.Yes Frank,I enjoyed doing it and am still adding bits here and there. Someone has asked me if I would like to do Times Square in New York....er...No...haha

A really good detailed painting, How old is the photo it was taken from? must be early sixties because of the adverts on the buses and billlboards, Fremling beers were taken over by whitbread in 1967.

I got the photo off the internet, and all it said was,An early sixties snapshot. There was no name for the photographer
