Oh yes, a definite improvement in my eyes. The geese are much more atmospheric than the girl who looked a bit 1950s. Love the tree shapes and dark windows and the bright yellow.

You're experiencing 38 degrees of heat? We'll have to make do with this lovely warm, sunny painting and just imagine! The fact that you 'bumped off' the girl sounds a bit harsh, but I do prefer this version. Sian is right, the geese are better and add nicely to the composition. All in all, it's a lovely painting. Just the thing to brighten up a gloomy day. Gloomy describes our weather today and the forecast is for rain. Poor you, you must be suffering :)

Love both paintings, William. They each have a different atmosphere, this one has a stronger contrast, and I think on tthe whole I light the brightness here better. It has a superb summery feel to it, as it should! Thank you very much for your very kind comments on my paintings.

Yes, I agree..the eye goes to the house and cypres trees more directly.Nice work.

Nice work william. I have the same Tuscany calender, and did a version of this some months ago. The addition of the geese is a nice touch too. You might like to check my version in my portfolio.

I also like this one William, lovely sunny atmosphere......very cheering in our November weather!

I prefer this one!

How can can I choose William --- When they are all BRILLIANT

Thank you all for your opinions , I now feel vindicated bumping them off, : ) 38degrees is not that comfortable in my workshop Louise as I only have aircon in the house, I prefer the mid to high twenties and my acrylics agree, Tony I shall look up your version but I didn't have a calender, but I bet there were other great views on yours, So thanks again I really appreciate your views.

Just came across this while trawling around - agree with all the comments above great subject, great painting.
