Lovely William and don't be so modest! The boat and water are very well depicted as are the occupants. Well done I like it very much.

This is lovely! Your tonal values in the water are great and you get the feeling that the boat is really sitting in the water. Your figures are also very well described, as Avril says 'don't be so modest!' :)

Great painting. Just looking through your gallery, lots of nice and peaceful scene. Love it!

Perfectly painted water, looks very wet and natural to me, and the rest of it is pretty darned good as well.

Great witty painting. Really well drawn as well as well painted. I think you water is excellent - nothing wrong with it at all.

Great water, great boat, great figures! Oh and great reflections too!

The water is very well painted, no worries there. Lovely scene, can see why you painted it. Thanks very much for your kind comment on my work William.

I am ' chuffed' at the comments from artists I admire so much, Lesley your paintings inspired me to try to capture water and the problems I had only increased my admiration for your paintings, Thank you all for your encouragement .

Wow, glad I discovered this particular gallery! Love this! Not Lesley's style, but then you are not Lesley, but your rendition of the water is equally effective in your own inimitable style. .It's a very captivating piece.

What a heavanly scene William, messing about on the river in a boat on a hot sunny day, what's not to love!

Just read your note, this is extremely well rendered water William!

A walk along the towpath at Richmond on a Sunday afternoon and here was a dad boat moored in the river reading his book. I couldn't resist painting this but I am no Lesley Dabson when it comes to water.
