Superb. The woman's face is a delight.

You are technically amazing, yet what is your central focus point? It is not obvious to me, maybe this is because of the composition or because a lack of light/dark directing me to what I am supposed to look at. It's almost like a photograph taken with a flash, everything uniformally lit - maybe it's because you have been taught to illustrate and that's what you are doing really well (and I would love to be able to do so like you can) but if you look at the masters some area's have soft lines and some hard, some area's fall into shadow and others are illuminated, when they compose the light tends to come from the left to an area of interest on the right (or vice versa) and the warm and cool colours tend to direct your eye in spirals to the focus. As Lew said the womans face is great, maybe it should not be so near the edge of the picture? Just something to think about because you really can paint well to improve everything must be perfect!

1. I worked with acrylic painting when I was in Hongkong Polytechnic . After graduation from my Design & Illustration course in 1984, I went into the advertising field and didn’t pick up a paint brush for over 30 years! With my wife’s encouragement in 2014, I had painted a series of “Hong Kong in a Better Light” within 18 months and lounged my roving exhibition during 2015-2017. Frankly speaking, I am not yet a professional artist, but I would continue to paint another series in order to extend the theme of “Hong Kong in a Fresh Light”. My hope is that people can see the positive reflection of Hong Kong through my productions.
