I really admire your bold use of colour.

Good portrait Gudrun, that hand is very well painted

Great as usual, Gudrun, well done.

Fabulous Gudrun! Really like the far away look in the eyes and the posture of holding his glasses.

Thank you all for your appreciation! It has been a while since I did a watercolour. I forgot how you have to be a bit patient about waiting for paint to dry to get its true hue.

Super use of colour, a very natural pose, and I like the suggestion of his spectacles.

Yes, good colour and pose Gudrun.

Good portrait as ever, Gudrun!

Lovely colour in this, very unusual.

No matter what the medium your work is always exceptional Gudrun

Lovely work Gudrun.

Lovely colours. Different I like that 😏

Great intensive expression Gudrun.

Wonderful use of colour in the face Gudrun. I like the way you have highlighted the edge of the sleeve which then took me to the superbly painted hand!

Thank you Diane. Everyone's kind comments and encouragement is much appreciated.

I love his facial expression. A fabulous portrait.

Archival, watercolour on 31x41cm 300gsm HP watercolour paper. This reference is from the family archive, The Editor. I think I managed to catch the best light today, aided by a daylight bulb.
