Portrait in oil - Sami

A very expressive portrait, Gudrun. Love the unpainted parts in contrast with the face and hand!

Excellent Gudrun. I like the 'unfinished' nature of the painting. It leaves a lot to the imagination.

A beautiful portrait of a Sami girl, Gudrun!

Thank you all for your appreciation. I am quite excited about my project which involves using the archive of photographs along with others. Lots of experimenting, but the main theme will always be the same, figures, portraits, movement, colour ....

You’ve definite extracted the essence here Gudrun, a wonderful portrait.

Wonderful style, colours and execution Gudrun.

Wow, how interesting, like it a lot

Some more thanks for your appreciation of my efforts. Spurs me on.

60x80cm oil on canvas. This is a portrait that I have painted using references from an archive of photographs of my dad's mostly from the 1950s and 1960s. As always I like to get to the essence of people and emotions.
