Quite fabulous Gudrun, just enough to create that all important interest factor.

This is very clever Gudrun! The expression on the face is really good too. My new favourite from you :)

Goes to show that quality is more important than quantity. Not a lot there but still quite something.

Glorious Gudrun! That expression and those gestures with the hands...beautiful!

Thank you all for such lovely comments. Very encouraging. It's been tricky getting the balance of detail or lack of detail right, especially as I leave most of the canvas bare. Mistakes are obvious!

You are a clever lady ...

Which Maestro? Love it anyway We have recently seen Gabriela Montero perform Ravel's Piano Concerto in G with the Bournemouth Symphony

Classic Gudrun....perfectly balanced.

That's good - is this a known pianist, I don't recognize him: but doesn't matter, you've got a maestro in mid-flight.

I agree with Ibolya. Super

Just fab, I love it Gudrun!!

Very nice painting Gudrun

Like it, just enough to keep the viewer curios and attentive. Love the look of concentration and expression.

Some more thanks for your lovely comments. They are very much appreciated, and encouraging. I think this is my favourite portrait so far too. The maestro is Igor Levit.

Love it Gudrun. Really appeals.

Brilliant, for me, your best yet, but hen I'm a biased music lover!!!

Thank you Thalia. I am very pleased with how this one worked out.
