This beautiful, Gudrun. It speaks volumes.

Cracking pose Gudrun. The line work is excellent. I find it tricky to do face's when at an angle. Well done.

Wonderful , love ythe simplicity of the lines and that expression is superb

Lovely Gudrun.

Isn’t that lovely Gudrun! I see what you say about delicate pencil marks . You ought to be able to adjust on your computer/phone before uploading (I often do with pencil drawings!) if you really want to, but actually I think the delicacy here adds to the effect and is perfect for your subject and the feel of this drawing.

Thank you all for your appreciation! My pencils wanted to be delicate, so I let them be that. The photo can't quite catch the true luminosity of the gentle blue and green, but the essence is captured as well as I could get it. I don't tinker with photos.

This is really beautiful Gudrun and I love it!

I do appreciate the delicacy of you your marks here Gudrun. Love your subject.

I agree with all the comments, beautifully captured expression of the mother.

Portrait in pencil. Archival, 25x25cm acid free paper. I do love to just respond to an image and an idea and if that means delicate pencil marks so be it. However, it does mean that it is very difficult to photograph. Also in this world of online there is a trend towards, 'it must pop out', so I suspect many will pass this by!
