Thank you for your appreciation. I like to practice from black and white photographs of lesser known people. It was interesting using green and blue. Russell, I am pleased you recognised 'my hand' so to speak.

It's nice to see a pencil portrait and just as good as your ink ones. Your portraits are always instantly recognisable Gudrun and this is another strong drawing.

A5, archival, pencil. The danger with pencil is the temptation to fiddle endlessly, which is why I like my ink; no danger of too much amending and it forces me to look properly. The weather is beautiful at the moment, but the sunshine creates difficulties when photographing.
