This works very well Malcolm, maybe because the paper is so much lighter. I find it gives it a lovely muted effect.

Thank you Adele. I started this with pastel pencils (the paper is more suited to pencils) and then discovered that the darkest greys I have in my tin were the same tone as the paper and I had to utilise soft pastels and charcoal to get the contrast

Well, it's worked Malcolm, it's a smashing painting.
