Lanercost Priory door by Gerry Mellor
A4 ink and wash. There's a small entrance door on the 'side' of the main building, which most visitors do not see, and it has so much character I just had to try to capture it. It was intended to be part of my one-colour collection, but the door was crying out for colour. The stonework is red sandstone and the old wooden door is black in reality, so... with a little bit of license... I produced this.
