what a clever idea of dry watercolour on pastel paper, I would not have thought of that, and what it does to the atmosphere of this lovely picture. the kestrel really does stand out especially with your clever use of differing shades of the background, not giving too much away on the birds surroundings. really lovely and really clever, i might try that myself sometime. many thanks for the inspiration, keep up the good work

Great drawing - beautiful detail. We have a lot of these birds in the fields around where I live and I love seeing them - so it has been very nice to see such a lovely portrait of one on the gallery.
