I adore painting snow scenes myself Gina, Arches is a great paper and I also only use the 300lb rough or not. This is a superb, delicate approach with some good clean washes. I always think about where the eye is taking me, in this painting it is up the track to the gate, perfect. As for a figure? I'm fine without one.

Yes very good atmosphere, technique and colours Gina. I like that sort of subject on rough and also figures, but in this case they are not needed.

I'm on a self imposed "snow splurge" in watercolour at the moment-this is my latest effort.Ive used Arches 300lb rough as I really like the surface for snow.As usual I'm wondering whether to put in a figure or not.
